ILACE – ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY ON FRAUDULENT CHARGEBACKS

ILACE is committed to protecting its customers, business operations, and payment systems from fraud, deception, and abuse.

It has been observed that, on certain occasions, individuals may place orders, allow the merchandise to be processed and shipped, and subsequently initiate a payment dispute or chargeback through their bank or credit-card provider while retaining the merchandise.

ILACE fully recognizes a customer’s legitimate right to dispute an unauthorized transaction, non-delivery, incorrect charge, or other genuine payment issue. However, deliberately initiating a chargeback after confirmed shipment or delivery with the intention of retaining the merchandise while recovering the payment may constitute suspected fraud or abuse of the chargeback process.

Zero-Tolerance Policy

Where ILACE has reasonable grounds and supporting evidence to believe that a payment dispute or chargeback has been initiated fraudulently or in bad faith, ILACE reserves the right to:

Flag the relevant customer account as “Suspicious / Disputed” for internal fraud-prevention purposes.
Restrict or permanently suspend the customer from placing future orders with ILACE.
Preserve all relevant evidence, including order details, payment records, shipment and delivery confirmation, IP/device information where lawfully available, and customer correspondence.
Contest the chargeback with the relevant bank, card issuer, payment processor, or payment network and provide supporting evidence.
Report suspected fraudulent activity, where appropriate, to relevant law-enforcement, cybercrime, financial-crime, or regulatory authorities in the applicable jurisdiction.

United States – Internet Crime Complaints

Where a transaction has a relevant connection with the United States and ILACE has reasonable grounds to suspect internet-related fraud, the matter may, where appropriate, be reported to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3).

Official IC3 Complaint Portal:
https://complaint.ic3.gov/

For transactions involving customers in other countries, suspected fraudulent activity may similarly be referred to the appropriate cybercrime or law-enforcement authorities in the relevant jurisdiction.

Important Notice

The filing of a chargeback does not, by itself, establish fraud. Each matter will be assessed on its individual circumstances and available evidence.

ILACE’s fraud-prevention measures are intended specifically to address deliberate abuse, deception, and suspected fraudulent conduct while respecting customers’ legitimate rights to raise genuine payment and order disputes.

ILACE reserves all rights and remedies available under applicable law in relation to suspected fraudulent transactions and abuse of its payment systems.
